I believe it to be the emphatic Word of God spoken through His prophets.
From the Old Testament alone, more than 2000 specific prophesies have been fulfilled.
No other so called Holy book compares.Most of the 333 prophesies concerning the Messiah were fulfilled by the birth and life of Jesus Christ and the rest will be fulfilled at His second coming. A mathematician, Peter Stoner, had his graduate students calculate what the odds would be of any one person fulfilling just eight of these prophesies. He found the chance was one in 100,000,000,000,000,000 !Only a God who knows the future could have revealed these prophesies to those that He would have record them in His Word.
In spite of what is being taught today, the truth is we can reconstruct most of the life of Jesus Christ through non - Christian writers of the first century. Even Celsus who despised Christianity, never considered claiming that Jesus Christ did not exist.This is what can be learned from the writing of Celsus...
He was born of a virgin in a small village of Judea;
He was adored by wise men;
His birth was followed by the slaughter of infants by order of Herod;
He took flight to Egypt, where Celsus supposed Christ learned the charms of the Magicians;
After returning, He resided in Nazareth;He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him as a voice was heard from heaven;
He elected disciples;
He was a friend with publicans and other low people;
He cured the lame and blind;
He raised people from the dead;
He was betrayed by Judas;
He was denied by Peter;
In addition Celsus refers to several details of Christ's passion, crucifiction, and resurrection.
Twenty seven books of the New Testament, nineteen Pagan writers, and three Jewish writers testify to Jesus Christ's historical reality. When I hear people say that Jesus or the Bible is just a myth I just realise that they are simply unaware of the facts.I recommend The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel and or Skeptics Answered or The Gate Of Hell Shall Not Prevail by D. James Kennedy, and The Signature of God by Grant R. Jeffrey. May all your thoughts be taken captive by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mostly inspired by God. There were special occurences though when God did speak directly to the writer of the autograph. Moses for example recieved direct relation from God, and there are places in the Pentatuech where you can see the actual words of God.

It's inspired by God.
But because of that, I'll never fully 100% trust the bible. I mean.. I do trust the stuff in the bible that makes sense.. like the good stuff.. but things that seem wrong I wont be like "Well the bible says so"
Because it's written by man, It's written by sinful people, even if inspired by God. It could've been altered and changed in certain ways. That's why my christianity is based on the ten commandments, Jesus's exact words and Galations 5:19-26 and Collosians 3:5-13

The bible is just a collection of writings by very superstitious people who lived two thousand years ago. No one has ever checked their qualifications.
It's as if the whole world was destroyed in an earth circling atomic explosion . Many years later , people from another planet were able to search through what was left . If in some way , the only thing that survived was a stack of spider man comic books , another religion would be established . Spider Man would become God .

It is the Word of God, as told by His Prophets.
A prophet is inspired; God speaks to him; the prophet reveals this.
Modern people often think that prophets are rare. They are not. The Bible is full of them.
There are prophets today.
Only, the words they receive from God are not being recorded for posterity. If they were, the Bible would still be in the works.

Well when the prophets said "God said this and this" that is the direct word. But books like Acts, and Psalms were inspired by God.

Inspired by..this means"God Breathed" (Spirit) like when "you talk" you can feel your breath...then, the men whom He spoke to, either "wrote it down, or had their helper do it for them..(personal scribe).. and, this is how we got our "bible"... now, of course it has been translated and copied etc. but, the KJ trans. is the best we have other than the original manuscripts...also, you cannot reffer to your bible as the word of god...this is wrong...Jesus is clearly The Word of God...the bible is the "inspired word" (there is a diff. between the rehema and the logos...(the letter kills..) look up the "scriptures" the "holy writ" for your selves, this in itself is a project...and i will assist you later in more... schnook007@yahoo.com

OK I'll bit since you asked this question a second time.
Neither if it was inspired by god then why is god a loving god? After all in the old testament he floods the earth, commands people to kill. Look at Leviticus alone says to do harm towards those others.
