Food poisoning is something which cannot be detected by how long it takes to effect. For me it takes about a few hours or some times even during midnight. You will be having terrible sharp pain in your stomach, diarrhoea and feel like vomitting. At times, you may have diarrhoea and vomit at the same time. The feeling can be horrible.

I think it is usually in 24 hours and the symptoms are:vomiting,diarrhea,and fever

Vomiting, sweating, diarrhea. I had a friend who became immediately ill after bad beef. I've had it once, and didn't get sick immediately but it was pretty violent when I did.
