pull the plugs and turn it over, it will pump out any water and prevent hydrolock which can ruin your engine. drain and change all fluids except radiator and brakes, wouldn't hurt to do them to..

But you didn't say the condition of the spark and when it does spark...

Problem is it got stuck in a huge ditch of water but you didn't say what year and motor size and how you got it stuck.... as if it had the possibility of water going up the filler neck or if something could have been damaged on top the tank, water can get into the tank and cause problems as water won't fire but can be pumped pretty good.... best way is to take a fuel sample in a clear container, shake it and see if you have a seperation line of two distinct fluids, if yes, drain, clean and refill to start

Also check to make sure the motor isn't covered in mud, and oil and water haven't mixed in the motor itself, as you could be damaging your motor and not know it that way.

A third thing, if it's a 2.3 or 2.5 4cylinder , the belt can shift in a hard engine stop like that and cause issues

If there's fuel to the motor, no need to use the shut off. Start with SVOs suggestions, and if you need more help, visit rangerpowersports.com . There are tons of knowledgable ppl there that have probably done the same thing.

This is the reason you should have car insurance. If you call them they would take your car to a repair shop and get it fixed. If you dont have insurance this would be a good reason to get some.
