Americans believe a lot of different things but almost all of us have some beliefs in common. We believe in equality, freedom, and that all people have the right to pursue their own happiness. As it says in the Declaration of Independance, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". Americans believe in Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion. We believe that all men have the right to believe whatever they want and say what they want. Americans can change religions, not have any religion, criticize our government, or say that the president is doing a bad job without fear of being thrown into prison or persecuted. We are guaranteed many other rights as well, but I feel that these are two of the most important. Traditionally, Americans believe that hard work and determination lead to success in life. I think that you are confusing being a Christian with being an American.

It is important for the words to be in the correct order. You need to buy books in your first language (Arabic, etc) to teach you English grammar, punctuation and spelling or find websites that teach you this information. You could also take English classes in the evening at a local school. Learn all the words relating to grammar - Noun (an object or person) Verb (an action) Adjective (a feature of an object or person - black/white, tall/short, etc) Adverb (how an action is performed - quickly, badly, etc)Prepositions (space or time relationships - inside, outside, between, on, in, above, before, after, later, etc) Subject - The person performing an action Direct Object - The person or thing that the action directly affects Indirect Object - The person or thing that the action indirectly affects or when/where the action happans. For example - The tall man kicks the blue football into the goal. The tall man (subject noun) kicks (verb = action) the blue (adjective) football (direct object - noun) into (preposition - a space relationship between the football and the goal) the goal (indirect object - noun) Can you identify Nouns, Verbs, The subject of a sentence, etc in your first language (Arabic, etc)? Practice this skill often. Do you understand how Nouns, Verbs, etc work in your first language and where they should be in a sentence? When you have learnt the rules of English grammar, read and study English text in magazines or story-books and check that you understand why the words in each sentence are in that order. Ask an English-speaking person to answer any questions that you have.

Not all Americans believe they need to be saved. A lot of our citizens aren't Christians at all. In the United States we have the freedom to choose what religion we will follow (if any). Christians believe they need to be saved because that is how you give yourself to God and have a true and open relationship with Him. It's different for everyone, there are so many forms of Christianity there isn't one specific way to become saved. It's complicated and it depends on how you interpret the bible.

You brought a smile to my face, what a sweet question. Christians teach about being saved from their sin, all mankind needs to be saved, not just Americans. We believe that Jesus came to earth to die for our sins so that we can go to heaven and be with Him for all eternity after death. Being saved is asking Jesus to come into your heart and forgive your sins. When you do this, then you are saved. Not everyone wants to get saved. Have a very blessed day!

Christians believe that if you are "saved" you will go to heaven. This means that if you accept Jesus into your life and agree to go to church and be a good person, then you will go to heaven, this magical mystical place where everything is perfect and you drink cocktails and play golf all day.
Obviously this place does not exist.
This is not just an American belief. Not all Americans need to be saved, only Christians do. Not all Americans are Christian.
I'm wondering where you are from!

All not only Americans need a sense of a higher being or self. I suppose your question is referring to the need of Jesus Christ saving mankind? Christians tend to want a higher existence. In a world of confusion and greed that America lives in, people tend to lose their paths of life very easily and look for a higher spiritualness. "Being saved" is like being the best self that one can be because America feels that their is a higher power that all must answer to for in the end of days after death we will all come before judgment of God. All crave to be saved because people tend to do what they want and like to do which is sin and harm to fellow mankind. People want an excuse to follow their evil ways and need the feeling of being saved in hopes that they can put away their evil shadows of death and become better purposes and fragments of life and love.

Your being told about Christanity not Americans. Christains believe that sinners need to be saved and where by Jesus.
Americans as a people believe many different things, and are very accepting of different things and beliefs. We may enjoy debating issues but that is educational in itself, we all have a voice in America.

ALL Americans do not believe they need to be saved. Only Christians. They think they are born with "original sin" because Adam & Eve ate fruit from a tree. So God had his son killed to "forgive" us for Adam & Eve eating the forbidden fruit.
I realize it makes no logical sense if you have not been raised Christian.

The concept of being saved is unique to Christianity. This is the nominent religion in America, but not nearly the only one, so this only refers to Christians. They believe that all humans are born sinful, and that sin will keep them out of heaven unless Jesus Christ nullifies that sin, which he only does for people who accept him as their savior.
