I would like to immigrate to the USA when I am older, because of the cheaper house prices and a chance to vote against extreme right wingers. I would like to know what kind of jobs they want, there, so I can get a degree in it, and get that job there. =]

Any job ideas! I am only 14 but I am more intelligent than the average person of my age.

Any ideas?

Interesting you are asking what you could offer a country that has everything, at the age of 14.

Unfortunately America needs things you cannot provide.
A military who's not at war.
A government of honest politicians who serve the people and not themselves.
A safe and secure country.
Everyone proficient in ENGLISH.

Lawrence, is there no contribution you can make to the UK?

What you read about America right now, and what you'll actually find, I'm afraid, are two entirely different things. There is such hatred directed against my country from people in the UK that have never been here, that they have jaundiced the view of us, projected things onto us that are not exclusively American ("fat, mindless, illiterates devoid of culture," etc., is awfully reminiscent of the self-indulgent fartings of the Nazis), and made themselves vulnerable to certain factions that hate Britain as much as we Americans.

America is always swinging from one extreme to another. By the time you show up here as an adult, it might be more along the lines of American culture in the late 1960s, a much needed spurt of social growth for us after the excruciating Eisenhower era.

It's very kind to want to serve our society. But please don't underestimate the importance of your OWN society. The day the UK and the US are no longer friends will be a sad one, I can assure you.

Don't worry, we'll make quick work of the blunderers in Washington in 11/08 and we'll clean up the mess like we did after Jimmy Carter. Bad presidents aren't new here and we're Americans, who like the British, or at least the British I remember, are absolutely ready to roll up there shirt sleeves and do what has to be done.

If you're very intelligent, the easiest way is probably to get a PhD in science or engineering, or to become a medical doctor. These qualifications more or less guarantee that you can get a green card and that you will be well paid.

Desperate need for Registered Nurses. But the advice to become an M.D. is good but be careful if your home country subsidizes your education they may require a specified number of years working in that field in your country.
