My 1 year old girl woke up this morning and had a small raised lump below her eye. She has just woke up after a 2 hour nap this afternoon and the lump has got bigger in diameter and she now has a smaller one on her other eye.

She also has a small rash appear on her leg. She is fine within herself and doesnt seem poorly.

Does any1 have any idea what this could be? Do you think it is ok to wait til 2moro to see a doctor?

Took my little girl to the NHS walk-in cente as it got worse, it was a reaction to a virus so have now got medication and she should be fine.

i would take her to the doctor right away because it could be a really bad infection or it could be an allergic reaction to something.

Roll a glass tumbler over the rash - if it doesn't disappear then take her to the doctor asap (or even the hospital if you can't get an appointment). If it does disappear, it's probably nothing to worry about - kids can get heat rashes and stuff like that.

As for the raised lump, it could be a stye. Try rubbing a gold ring on it for a few minutes and see if that gets rid of it in the next day or so. (My Dad taught me that trick and it seems to work!)

Hope she's okay. xxx

Did she hit her brow when you didn't see perhaps? That might explain the lumps. The rashyness could be from itching or just a normal simple rash. If it is all there tomorrow or looks worse by tonight, then you might consider just taking her to a Dr. just in case.

Yeah, I think you should go bring her to see the doctor. Does she have any allergies? Did you get a new pet?

If in UK then the NHS centre, like now, if not the doctor ASAP I do not like the spread and the sooner you get it checked out the better
