If so I will send a positive thought for peace and goodwill to everyone who bothers to reply.

Shame everyone can't do the same.

Oh, absolutely so. Being positive is everything in life, being optimistic is so constructive, it allows us appreciate things in life much more. Obviously, there will be negative things that will shadow our lives, but we should try and ignore as much as possible as there is no time for dealing with too much negative thoughts and facts. I know it may sound a bit of fiction, but it is possible,It is my way of life, it works.
This life is short, much shorter than we do apprehend. It is a way of feeling it's true, it lives within ourselves the positiveness, but we can work at it as well.
I know many people believe in life after death, but what is the point of aspiring for different things in different lives if we were given this life which we know it exists, it's here and it's now, let's just give it a nice positive incentive, and take out the positive even from the darkest things and leave the negative go with the darkness.
And thank you Dave for your positive thoughts for peace and goodwill- they are sensed and appreciated, as well as reversed. God bless!

If nothing else, positive thinking can make a vast difference in the quality of life for the individual both internally and externally By extension, positive thinking affects our relationships and collective life. Sending positive thoughts is nice, but nicer yet is action, reaching out to do something to bring about peace and goodwill. There is so very much to be done to bring about the realization of the oneness of humanity and all that implies.

Yes, indeed, positive thoughts can have a positive corroborating effect, and they may be an aspect of one's own optimistic fiercy strategy of healing and thus of survival.

But it is the positive bright thoughts in one's own head, with one's own hopes affecting oneself, affecting and nourishing one's own bodily and spiritual health,

not so much towards others - I am not sure it would help you to meekly send positive thoughts of peace and goodwill towards some murderous merciless mad monsters. I am not sure you would get a loving peaceful feed-back promoting your own life. But, miracles can happen!

positive thoughts can have positive effects if properly evoked without a hidden agenda. I also tend to think that positive efforts of good deeds come from positive thoughts. Deeds speak louder than the words and thoughts that are never acted upon. Positive thoughts are perceptions. Perceptions can be an illusion or whatever you want it to be. If you choose to be a positive person with positive thoughts, then the light will shine through you upon others to see and feel and positively effect them in all goodness if they choose to embrace that positive energy and apply it to life. Positive thoughts and thinking greatly affects one's looking glass self and self fullfilling prophesy and triggers the endorphins that are responsible for people's happiness and self success.

Peace be with you and all humanity. May your days be plenty and bright.

Yes, positive thoughts effect the way a person looks at their own life and other peoples. If you think you are in a bad situation, and continue to feel overwhelmed by it, simply stopping, stepping back and changing your attitude to a positive one can make the whole situation come out different.

Yes. Just as negative thoughts can. I think if the whole world sent positive thoughts it would have a positive effect. Unfortunately, the whole world has such a mixture of people, those who care, don't care. etc. To be honest, if we had an entire world full of people sending positive thoughts then the world would already be a good place full of good people.
I wish!!!!

how are you gonna send em,by post ,email, pigeon? keep your positive thoughts, they only work for you like mine work for me.the idea that an individual can impose their personal will in the universe to effect someone or something just by thinking about it is ludicrous, only actions can do that, cant argue with the sentiment though and if more people thought like that maybe the world would be a little more bearable, so right back at cha!

Positive thoughts only lead to positive effects if those thoughts motivate some sort of practical and effective action. Wishing things to be true doesn't magically make them true.
