If i get a chocolate lab what should i name it?
If i get a black lab what should i name it?
I already have a 7ish year old dog who's name is Huckle Berry Fin or Huck Fin and so i was wondering if i should name my chocolate or black lab Tom Sawyer? do you have any other names that would fit?

Get the dog that has the best temperament, seems to have the best health, and best suits your lifestyle and situation. Beyond that, you have to decide which color you prefer. But it's a secondary consideration. When I was looking for one of the dogs I have, I had in mind a piebald. What I wound up with was a dark reddish fawn with white markings. But he was the right dog, and the color wasn't the deciding factor.
If you have a dog name Huck Fin, Tom Sawyer would be a fitting name - sort of keeps the Mark Twain literary theme going.

Don't worry about the color, get the right MATCH that gets along best with your existing dog.
If I were you, and if you want a lab, I'd find a lab rescue or a rescue or shelter with labs nearby. I'd tell them about my lifestyle and my existing dog.
Then take Huck with you and let him help you pick your new dog.
He will make it obvious who he likes! This is how we do it at the rescue where I volunteer. The existing dog helps select the new dog. It's fun and you make sure that everyone in the house gets along!
Then who knows... you may have to name your next dog Becky Thatcher....

It dosnt really matter about the color. The choice is up to you. Well some dog names are: Charlie, Blackie, Rose, Oscar, Dutchess, Nelly, Darla, and Dolly,

WE HAVE A BLACK LAB NAMED BOO. HE IS A WOOSIE
WE JUST ADORE THIS DOG. WE HAD A BLONDE LAB NAMED YOGI BUT HE WAS STOLEN FROM US.
WHEN HE WAS GROWING UP HE GOT INTO MY DAUGHTERS MAKEUP AND HE HAD IT ALL OVER HIS FACE. I TOLD MY DAUGHTER, WELL, THATS A BLONDE FOR YOU!
NOW WE HAVE A PART LAB / GERMAN SHEPHERD,,,LOUIE....
LOUIE WAS IN JAIL AND MY DAUGHTER BAILED HIM OUT BECAUSE HIS OWNER WOULDN'T . HIS ORIGINAL OWNER BEAT HIM ALL THE TIME...BUT HE HAS A GREAT HOME NOW AND HE WOULD TEAR SOMEONES LEG OFF THAT WOULD EVEN TRY TO HURT MY DAUGHTER.
LOUIE ADORES MY DAUGHTER AND HE SLEEPS BY HER BED...GUARDING HER.
I THINK TOM SAWYER IS A PERFECT NAME FOR YOUR NEW DOG.
LABS LOVE THE WATER AND THEY LOVE TO FETCH..
THEY ARE THE BIGGEST HEARTED DOGS EVER.
