Ok, so for about a week now my stomach has been non-stop hurting. Not like diarrhea hurting, but muscle pain or something. I had an allergic reaction to medicine on Wednesday, and now it hurts even more...

Other symptoms that came along with it:
Tiredness
Weakness
Dizzy (sometimes)
Swollen Glands

Please don't tell me "Stop asking people on here and get to a real doctor" because I did, and he said it was an infection, and then prescribed me the medicine that I'm allergic to, and we called the doctor, got a new medicine, which I've been taking, and still don't feel well. I'm still tired and such and my stomach still hurts badly. What could this be and should I go back to the doctors?

Call the dr. and tell them this med isn't working either. Insist that they give you another med. If the dr. said it was an infection, I would trust his/her judgment, but it may be a VIRAL infection. If it's a viral infection, it just has to run it's course and you'll get well in a few days on your own. If it's a BACTERIAL infection, which he/she was thinking it must be (or they wouldn't give you antibiotics), you'll need a new antibiotic to clear it up.

As to the stomach hurting badly, I'm assuming you mean the stomach right under the center of your rib cage? Since you mention no nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, I would recommend you take 3 ibuprofen every 6 hours with some food or milk. It might help the pain.

Take care, sweetie. Hope you feel better.

Infection is just a general term. What kind of infection? You need the right antibiotic or else it won't work. Antibiotics are useful but come with side effects like you are describing. I know how tired I get when I have to take them. I know......you don't want to hear...go back to the doctor.but I think more testing is in order to determine what's really going on. I hope you are eating and drinking plenty of fluids (water) with the meds. Be careful with medicine allergies as they can be very serious. If you have the flu, an antibiotic won't help. Have you been tested for mononucleosis? Feel better soon.

I had symptoms VERY similar to this just 2 weeks ago. Muscle soreness, tightness even (like someone was tryin to pull my belly button back inside), walked like an old women, very weak and tired, couldnt eat, got dizzy when i stood up... ALL that stuff.

Went to the doctor... said he couldnt find ANYTHING wrong with me (that pissed me off). My sister is a Physicians Assistant. She said she had a theory. It was stress!

Taking this into consideration, i balanced out my diet (bland foods and lots of fluids, in case she was wrong). Started meditating, setting time aside in my day just to relax and do absolutely nothing, bought some coloring books (always relaxed me in kindergarder... worth a shot). People around me backed off with their drama and just gave me time to... breathe!

3 days later, it went away. Now, it comes up very faintly every now and then, i just go.. do some deep breathing and calm myself down.. and it goes away.

I'm not saying this IS the answer, but its a possible answer.
