I've always been athletic, but I haven't exercised much in the last couple of years, and now I'm starting to get a double chin. I feel fat. My arms, legs, and belly are all poofy and soft, I feel like i'm gaining weight and fat all over these days. But I really don't have time to exercise. Is getting fat just something I'll have to accept?

I started getting overweight in my late 20s.. it's something that will definitely happen unless you actively try to prevent it from happening.. I'm 32 now and I'm trying to undo it and get in shape again.. the weight is a lot harder to take off than it was to put on, but it's coming off gradually.. I really wish I had not let myself put on the weight in the first place though.. I used to always say "I don't have time to exercise" but now I make it a priority.. now I treat exercise as something that's as important as eating.. would you say "I don't have time to eat?" maybe once in awhile, but when you get hungry you take the time to eat no matter what.. the same should be true for exercise.. sorry for preaching.. just trying to help you avoid the mistakes I made.. :)

Heck no girly... you don't have to accept that! You have the power to change that. Throw 20-30 minutes of exercise (brisk walking is good) even 3 days a week since you're probably busy. Instead of obsessing over what you're eating and tryin to change that too... just eat smaller portions.
In no time, you wont be so poofy and soft. + You'll feel better! :) g'luck

Of course not! Just make some changes in your eating, like switching from white to whole wheat, and measuring out your food. Start going for walks!

Just remember this. At anytime you are eating, your body is always metabolizing. So you're either getting fatter or skinnier at any moment. True fact. When I want to eat a lot of food, I just remember that. And I then end up eating the right amount.

you answered your own question. "I haven't exercised much in the last couple of years".

the late 20's is when there is a natural shift downwards of the metabolic rate "if" you don't exercise.

don't have time to exercise? it only takes 45 minutes to an hour 4-5 days a week. if you don't have 5 hours a week to devote to your health, I don't know what to tell you.
