Go with the Navy. And do try to pick up a career there.
Your best bet is if you have a career already set such as a dental assistant, EMT, police.
Best of luck, but do go navy.

Go if what ever branch is a better fit for you. First ask yourself what you what to do in the military and what you what to get out of it.
I originally planned on joining the Army, but the Navy offered a better deal and guarenteed my training school. So I joined the Navy and have never regretted the decision.
Talk to the recruiters of both services and decide what is best for you.

Each service has its own pluses and minuses. If you like water, then join the Navy. If you like the infantry then join the Army. If your passion is both then volunteer for the SEALS or something like that. They play on both land and water.
But ultimately it is your choice.

Go into the navy and see the world. Unless you wanted to see downtown Baghdad. If you yearn for the body bag, pick the army then.
