How about this one

Fascist ethics begin ... with the acknowledgment that it is not the individual who confers a meaning upon society, but it is, instead, the existence of a human society which determines the human character of the individual. According to Fascism, a true, a great spiritual life cannot take place unless the State has risen to a position of pre-eminence in the world of man. The curtailment of liberty thus becomes justified at once, and this need of rising the State to its rightful position. [Mario Palmieri, "The Philosophy of Fascism" 1936]

Because Hitler was Roman Catholic. FYI he has never been excommunicated. Also as a FYI the Catholic leader of Ireland sent his condolences to Germany after Hitler's death. The Roman Catholic Newspaper at the time supported the Irish PM as Hitler was Catholic. He was nuts but definitely Catholic. Edit Face facts he was Catholic. There is no historical question here, none. Also almost all the SS and Hitler's henchmen were Christian.

Yeah it does but the people he was talking about don't follow a hate filled religion that focuses on world domination and the killing of all others that don't follow it.

Sure their religion had its flaws and even threats like any other. However essentially they integrated and even enrinched european society.

I would like to see world peace and an end to war. However if that means I have to do what some religious nut tells me.. be sexist, homophobic and generally prejudiced to everyone. You can shove it right up your backside.

My ancestors shed blood for the liberty of this and other nations. I am not about to let it be ruined by some stupid idiots who think some murderous, butcher incestual paedophile is the real messiah and prophet of God.

As you can read from the answers few choose to understand what you said because they don't see their rhetoric as being something that has been said before. They believe that the Christian religion is not negative and that their control in this Country could help all Americans. But they don't want to leave room for Pagans, Wiccans and other religious groups that preach peace and love. Homosexuality is another negative in their campaign of purity.

It is disturbingly familiar. I have heard similar statements made in recent years, although I will admit that I do not find the origin of those statemetns to be much of a surprise. After all those that do not remember history are doomed to repeat it.

So what? That's a variation on a theme that has been used by EVERY leader looking for backup to start a war.

I imagine Ugh-Ugh grunted the equivalent to Gug-Gug when he wanted his Neanderthals to clobber the neighboring cave's Neanderthals because they had softer rocks!

Hitler always spoke what the people wanted to hear and the antichrist will also be a silver-tongued devil.

Hitler once said at a dinner party, "please pass the potatoes." I have said," please pass the potatoes." That does not mean that I can be compared to Hitler. But seriously, I agree that the administration is using the threat of an enemy that in reality can only do a relatively small amount of damage to erode all of our civil liberties.

Didn't realize the equal opportunity hater said that. But it would be so like him to justify his mad intentions with a statement that on first reading appears harmless but rather paranoid. Said by anyone else, it would appear to be justifiable given the woes of the world today.

I do insist on the certainty that sooner or later – once we hold power – Christianity will be overcome and the German Church established. Yes, the German church, without a Pope …....and Luther, if he could be with us, would give us his blessing.” (Adolf Hitler, Hitler’s speeches, edited by Prof. N.H. Baynes [oxford, 1942], pg. 369.)
