To some extent, by seeing how a person behaves and interacts with others. It isn't so hard to see the transformation of a person who was unjust and is now just, who was filled with bigotry and hatred and is now compassionate and understanding of those who are different, who was self-centered and is now thoughtful and caring of others. It isn't so hard to see love in action, both ours and others. We can all see such transformation if we see instead of look.

Spirituality cannot be guaged with the help of fixed parameters. No one has a right to guage spirituality of another person. The human being is, most often, not capable of judging even "own" spirituality status! The presence of spirituality in some person / being, may, however, be felt intuitively by some other people, too. (Not admissible, though, in a court of law, for lack of tangible evidence)

God works through other people to give you revelation on your progress in his word. The more you go the more you will receive his word and do his will. My Pastor learned the bible in 3 1/2 years, studding all night long. God had a calling for him, my pastor said it was like a drug to learn and understand the bible in that time but that is how long Jesus preached for. You can not have to much church. Most of our members go 4 to 5 times to church, because they have a calling by God. We follow sound doctrine and see the signs and miracles.

DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

First of all we are not supposed to judge since we cannot know a person fully.

However, we can know his spiritual status by the things he does or says. Then again, we do not know what is inside his mind. That is why sometimes we see a person doing things we never expected he would do.

Only you know. The answers are inside you. Only you can feel which classes and fellowships hurt more than help you.

Such a right you mention is non existent. It could better be described as "taking excessive liberty", or "stepping on a neighbor's toes", or "foolhardy arrogance", or just ignorance.

going to church is not a spiritual activity, it is a social activity

attending classes is an educational activity

sit somewhere alone, quietly, and just talk to God, if you must have a topic then start with: 'truth, beauty, and goodness; what do these three things have in common'

good luck!

Only if that person is the man's Spiritual Director or Father Confessor. And that is a personal thing, spoken of only between Father Confessor and that person seeking spiritual guidance.

Outside of that very special relationship, no - a person has no right to judge.

FIRST..... DO You believe the BIBLE.... or are YOU... just speaing.... about..."Church-E-Anity ?"

Second.... did you Miss.... these...?

(2Corinthians 13:5) examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates?

AND...

(Jude 1:3-4) Having made all haste to write to you about the common salvation, beloved, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

(Jude 1:4) For certain men crept in secretly, those having been of old previously written into this condemnation, ungodly ones perverting the grace of our God for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

AND....

(Hebrews 5:11-to-14) of whom we have much to say, and hard to be explained since you are dull of hearing.

(Heb 5:12) For indeed because of the time, you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again what are the first principles of the oracles of God. And you have become in need of milk, and not of solid food.

(Heb 5:13) For everyone partaking of milk is unskillful in the Word of Righteousness, for he is an infant.

(Heb 5:14) But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, even those who because of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

AND....

(1Corinthians 2:15) But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one.

Thanks, RR

In general, I would say no. But of course if you ask for advice or an honest evaluation, I will give it to you, and I think most people would. The only person it would make sense to ask would be someone whose spiritual development you admire and moral judgment you respect.

But if you don't ask their opinion, you have a perfect right to say "I did not ask for your opinion," and walk away.

I told a man the other day that he was an alcoholic.
He told me I had no right to judge him.
My answer to him was as follows.
If there are two cars sitting in the driveway, one Chevy and one Ford am i judging when I point at the Ford and call it a Ford.
It is what it is, that's not judging.
