i had a problem in my family yesterday. After a long seriies of violent behaviors , i called the cops on my father yesterday because he came after me with a knife thretening to physically violate me .
they arrested him . Now my whole family is against me . You see i went thru depression , anxiety , panic attacks , social anxiety and everything for the past 5-6 years because of the way he brought me up . i started rebelling when i was 16. due to the dependence issues my parents caused ( excess love , thus causing me to attend to his needs as if I AM THE adult , has made me dependent , thus i was unable to leave)
but now i think i had enough . i send out 2 resumes yesterday . today probably i'll send out much more. but the thing is i heard my family talk about asking me to move out yesterday night
can they do that?
can they just go to court ( which we have to anyway )
and tell the judge they want me to be out and Do i have to move out ? after all wasn't He the one with the knife?

Under Ga Law, they can't just kick you out because that is your residence.They have to apply for an eviction at the Sheriff Department.
But if I was you, I would move out. I would not want to live in an environment like that. You have enough of that. Get a job and get yourself a place of your own.

Legally you are an adult and yes they can ask you to move out, you are no longer a child and should be able to support yourself on your own.
If your father came after you with a knife and the family is against you because of this than I really feel as if you've worn out your welcome ... you can only blame your parents for so much in life and then you need to realize you need to be responisble and change on your own, seems like your heading in the right direction but you definitely need to move out to mend the ties to your family.

You did the right thing, and you can play charges to this &*%& that he's so macho with a knife...whatever!!!!!! and the looser of your mom..did she do something? or she is protecting him? about your other questions about asking you to leave....If this question is aked to the Judge, he will refer you guys to Family Counseling, is not in this visit that he can say yes or no. You have to touch the Law channels.
At your age, living in Hell, and this "lovely" family asking you to move out............the answer is more clear than water, my fiend. It sounds very very bad, but guess what?
GET OUT OF THAT ENVIRONMENT, NOW!!!! what ar eyou waiting for? you still in school? I don't think so, you are 25!!, ask fiends if you can stay for little time while you FAST find a roomate or something.
I am very strong...personally, I would kiss this family GOODBYE!, I don't care, it will never change and honestly is emabarrasing. I would avoid them 100%. Lots of families are not families...you find family in other families.
Don't be stupid and think that the loosers out in the street are family, OK?

why would u WANT to stay? is there anyone u can trust or any distant friend/relitive that would take u in like their daughter? u had to call the cops, there was no other option, was there? so by rights u should move out, still u haven't exactly explained why he came at u with the knife.

You live in his house...he came at you with a knife? Why would you want to stay. Go live with a friend or relative who is on your side. Get a job, find an apartment and get away from that fmaily and make somehting of yourself. Don't give yourself any excuses. Just do it and make yourself better.

Your 25 they can kick u out without a court order. Legally if ur paying rent on ur room then they have to give u time to move out but if ur not paying rent then they can kick u out at anytime.
I would have left last night I would want to stay in a house where somebody tried to kill me.

i have no clue why you would want to stay there.
get yourself a job, and maybe find a room mate or a place of your own.
your father needs help and so do you... i hope you get some.
