The line "Hear O liberal" was appended by Jack Huberman, and I thought it appropriate. Popper was indeed a liberal, and a well-respected one.

What's with the "Hear, O liberal" bit? Karl Popper was a liberal, writing in defence of liberalism for liberals. Is that what you meant?
