Free will is the freedom to choose between good and bad. If we take away 'temptation' then we do not have the Free Will to choose between good and bad. Because now 'bad' does not exist. What is bad or evil? Everything is good in the world, but when we put what is good above God, i.e. we give God second place, is what we call 'bad' or 'evil'.

Free will is not directly related to temptation. We have the free will to choose to wear a mini skirt or a pair of pants, simplistically. But that is not necessarily a temptation. That said, Satan tempts us and we also are drawn away by our own lusts and enticed. (James 1:14). So we cannot blame Satan for everything. He is not omnipresent in the life of every believer or non-believer.

What's this? Hypocrisy in Christianity? I never thought I'd see the day! In case you didn't know, that was sarcasm. Basically it means you have free will to either listen to God or Satan...which is totally NOT what free will is. Free will means thinking for yourself...something that some people frown upon because they think that free will means having the Bible do the thinking for you.

If we did not have "free will" we would be robots and could not be tempted to do anything other than what we were programmed to do. We could not make a choice if there were no other option. Satan gives us that option.

Having free will and being tempted by Satan don't correlate too much.

We have free will. So we have the freel will to follow satan if he tempts us....well thats how I see it.

Satan desires to destroy your soul. We destroy our souls by sinning, and a sin is something that we commit freely. So Satan will use all of his cunning and power to bring you as close as he can to sin, but will not cross over the line into compulsion, because if he "forces" us to do something wrong he has failed in his object. We do have free will, and it is for this reason in scripture the Christ urges us to avoid sin.

They answered him, "We are descendants of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How can you say, 'You will become free'?" Jesus answered them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. A slave does not remain in a household forever, but a son always remains. - John 8:33-35

Satan does tempt us, but he cannot force us to do anything. He can only put the thought in our mind. What we do with that thought is then up to us, hence free will.

basically you're free will allows you to be tempted. if you had no free will you could not be tempted you would just be doing whatever you're told automatically.
