I have a cable jack and TV in one corner of my room, and my PC on the other side. While the house is wireless, and I have no trouble with the internet, I do have a TV tuner on the PC, and would like to utilize it without having wires all over the place. Is there such thing as a wireless cable transmitter, and if so, where do I get one?

Sorry it looks like you are stuck with runnig a cable around the room.

I do know that some companies offer a phone jack adapter, you just plug the main station in into an available ac outlet and hook it up to a phone line and then use another one somewhere else in the house to get your phone almost anywhere you want it. sadley, I could not find anything like it for a cable tv signal(I believe it is due to the frequencies that it works at).

The up side is if the room has carpeting, you can usually run the cable in the small gap between the baseboard and the carpet using a pen or other thin stiff object. This would save you the money of getting an electrician to come out and run a cable. If the room is hardwood floor, you really will need a qualified person to come in and run it for you.

You could just stick an antenna on the PC tuner, but you would only get a few channels. You really need to run a cable around the room. It's not hard, just use coax cable fasteners (ask at home depot) every foot or so along the baseboard. Buy cable that is close to the color of your wall. Done cleanly, you won't even notice it.

The best thing would be to have another cable line ran down the wall where your pc is. An Electrician or cable guy can do it.

You could do it yourself and save ALOT of money. Wal-mart sells up to 25 feet or more roles of coax already complete with connectors. They also have the coax couplers you need that you can use to extend the length of your current cable with a newly purchased cable. Its really simple.
