My boyfriend tells me that I require too much attention... do other girls want lots of attention from their significant other?

Yeah, I know if I were clingy it would be annoying to him. I would be fine if we could just cuddle on the couch. I have learned to not expect attention when we are out with his buddies, etc.

Another thing... when he does pay me attention, he does it while I'm cooking, or on the internet. So I try to keep busy and then when I am he wants me to pay attention to him. So when I say stop he says "I'm giving you attention" I don't bother him while he's grilling or watching a braves game.

Everyone craves attention otherwise... no one would date. However, you should give your partner some space or attention too.
Too much attention can be associated with insecurities and abusive relationships.... etc. I really don't think it is a healthy relationship when one of the two is getting most of he attention.

I'm the same, it's the the guy that isn't willing to give a little attention, well at least from what I seen, maybe I can identify wether you require to much attention if you put an example and what times you do... but I think most guys just want a girlfriend when he is alone but around his buddies he just wants to be a guy not a sweet one.

Yes, girls do want attention, but there is such a thing as overdoing it.
YOU need to find other ways to be productive and keep yourself occupied.. don't depend upon your boyfriend for entertainment every minute of your every day.
Relationships are great when there is a balance..... balance, work, play, hobbies, friends plus the relationship.

Maybe girls do, but women always have so much going on in their lives that they dont require as much attention as girls do.

Yeah--I love attention. :)
Of course, I guess there is probably a point where you're clingy. That would be a problem. I hope you work it all out. :)

I prefer to be left alone most of the time.
to crave attention is sometimes seen as being insecure in yourself.

Girls do but women don't. I guess that's partly because women feel more secure in their relationships than girls do and that comes from years of experience with men etc.

I think it is pretty natural to want attention. But you have to take a backseat to others sometimes or it is no fun for them
