What do I have?? I have had constant diarrhea for almost 3 weeks now. Most of the time its watery and yellow and the other times it has been very, very soft dark stool. Any time I eat, within 10 minutes of eating, I get this uncontrollable urge to go poop. Even when I smell food my stomach gets upset. My stomach gurgles and I can't hold it long enough to find a bathroom if even if I tried sometimes! It's very embarassing and annoying. I can't imagine that this is healthy. I drink plenty of water and have a pretty normal diet. I take Yaz (BC), Lexapro (10mg), Wellbutrin (150mg), and Prilosec (for acid reflux). Maybe those are why my stomach is upset? I have been eating at this restraunt a coworker of mine got salmonella from so I'm not sure if its that. Any help is appreciated!

You very much need to see an MD for an exam. A blood draw and possible other GI tests may be indicated. Three weeks of diarrhea is too much, dehydration and electrolyte imbalances can result. I have been a Medic for 30 years, I have had Colon Cancer twice. I am also OK now. I am certainly not suggesting you have Cancer, many other diagnoses are more likely. Believe me, I understand the kind of misery you are experiencing, and I want you to see an MD soon...they WILL help you. Don't worry.

try to stay away from the restaurant for a while and see if any changes happen. also go to a pharmacist doctor and ask them if the combination of things you are taking is harmful. make sure you go to the doctor if the problem persists more than a 2 weeks of you trying these options, it could be something different. maybe you are pregnant?

Three weeks of diarrhea is usually very serious. You need to go straight to the doctor and drnk water, as crazy as it sounds. Even if your stomach doesn't like the thought of wholemeal bread, eat it. You need to otherwise you could die from dehydration.

This is one to check with the medical professionals. I would say it's IBS but if it has been for 3 weeks, I would keep track of what you have done differently prior to then. Also check out the side effects on your prescription medicine.

Three weeks is too long to have had diarrhea. Something else is wrong. See a doctor immediately.

it is best to consult your physician before taking any medication so he can prescribe the right medication. different types of antibiotic work for different problem.
did you check your water? maybe it is contaminated. how about your food? was it cooked well or semi-cooked? how about the cooking style? do you eat always oily food?
if you suspect the restaurant, can you remember what you eat?
