Atheists, by and large, do not believe in anything supernatural. That would include spirits, no matter what their moral inclination.

Not too literally, no. But the term "spirit" is a useful one nonetheless. You see, sometimes we have to accept another person's vocabulary, their use of words and their apparent definitions, in order to communicate with them. That's why I called myself a pagan and witch for many years. I found the polytheistic religions contained more useful metaphors and symbols for what I wanted to say. But in studying the Tarot and the Kabbalah, and in reading Carl Jung on archetypes, I found that I was not taking those gods and goddesses as literally as other people who called themselves Wiccan or witch. So I spent some time calling myself an agnostic (not long, actually; couple of weeks), but recognized that most people see that as fence-sitting. It's not so much that I believe in God, as that I believe in something so abstract and esoteric that nobody else would use the word "God" (especially with the capital letter) to describe it.
Still, people do have souls, and those souls can become influenced from outside themselves. Some of the influences are evil and some are good. So in that sense, I believe in evil spirits.

A true atheist has no supernatural beliefs. So, no, I don't believe in spirits, holy, evil or otherwise.
That there are evil people in the world goes without saying. However, the cause is mental illness, not spirits.

No, there is no evidence for spirits and nothing to indicate that they might possibly exist. When cases arise that suggest "spiritual", good or evil, involvement it has always been shown to be due a natural cause.

There is no proof of spirits. "good" or otherwise.
Oh and while we're at it, can you give us an empirical definition of "good" and "evil"?

I don't believe in spirits at all. There is no evidence for either one, so there is no way to make a comparison.

Agree with what everyone else has answered. good and evil are concepts arrived at by humans to define the world.

No. I believe that "evil" comes from the actions of people, and people need to start taking responsibility for themselves and stop trying to blame invisible, supernatural beings for the wrongs that they do.
