if they did, they would lose a lot of fans. some people who watch don't even have cable or satellite. most sports that go to pay per view lose many fans. only the die hard fans will pay for it.

The past coupleof years pay-per view has been mentioned and talked about. This track pass and a few extras like that are the first steps toward pay -per view.
When other sports picked pay-per view some fans paid for the event and had "pay-per view parties(in my younger WWF days).
But for NASCAR there are too many fans to screw up the fan base and put it on pay-per view, will it happen more than likely yes, will it succeed no.

I think they are losing as many fans as they gain, but why should they care, they're rolling in the bucks.
In 3 years, I predict that NASCAR fans will have to purchase a package in order to watch any race. NASCAR's fame is rising fast, I just hope they don't make the same mistake that the NHL made, as they were gaining popularity, they made it impossible to watch a game without purchasing a hockey package, so I could care less what happens in that sport now, and when/if NASCAR goes to that, I'll stop paying attention to the sport altogether.

Dude, you been into the Bud already? NASCAR is outta the closet. From cable to network TV. It's the fastest growing sport right now, especially among women. So ABC?Fox reap the rewards. Ever noticed the commercials look Super Bowl quality? Big bucks in sponsorships? Nope, no pay per view here when bezillions are glued to the networks. PS They also advertise their TV schedules and so forth. Win win. We watch more TV!! Thanks. GO 8!!! 24 car boo hoo today. Boogety boogety boys lets go racin' female here and I love it. Especially the drama with wrecks and fueds and Theressa and Mikey it's a soap opera out there!
Kasy Kahne on all those Bud boxes? My heart be still. Jr's hot but the kase is sizzlin!

Nascar does some stupid things alot, but they wouldn,t try that again. Back in the late 80's they try a ppv event from Pocono. Of all place to try it. This was before Nascar was as big as it is today. Well bottom line that idea cost Nascar a few dollars, but this was when France Jr was head of Nascar and not his son. No telling what Brian France will try.

If I have to pay to see a NASCAR race on TV, I better not have to sit through all the sponsorship garbage like "The Allstate Good Hands Award", the "Aaron's Lucky Dog Award" or any other of those little thing that pop up every ten seconds during the race. It's out of control.

I haven't heard that in a couple of years, where did you hear that? As big as nascar has become over the last few years is amazing I really can't see that happening, We use to get the Intel with 6 divers we paid for that until they blew that idea a gave it to another channel in which we can't get anymore, ya know they pulled that crap with football too, I can't see nascar doing that!

Why would they go ppv? That's the dumbest thing they could do right now. They want more viewers, if it went pay per view, not near as many people would watch.

I hope not. They'd be making a huge mistake. NACAR is on the rise...why would they want to make it LESS accessible?? It's bad enough they don't get much coverage in the local news!
