does anyone know how to prevent bobcat fever in house/outside cats?

my sister has lost 2 cats to bobcat fever. the first time it cost a lot of money at the vet and it died anyway. but was never told by the vet how to prevent it or help

If you want answers about how to prevent or for help on any topic, you really need to take the time to ASK the vet for answers.

I would imagine that the best way to keep your pet cats from getting bobcat fever is to keep them indoors... there is a myriad of illness they can contract from being allowed to roam, not just limited to this bobcat fever.

I'm sorry to hear your sister's cat died..
