You need to look up how Rastafarianiism started and why. It was a Black Supremist religion which regarded Haille Saillasie as the Lion of Judah and they expected to be gathered up and returned to Etheopia. They thought Ethiopia was Zion.
It was only after they discovered the market for Jamaican weed and Reggae music among the Hippies that they got mellow.

My only experience of Rastafari was being pushed off a pavement in Camberwell, South London in the 1980s by a Rasta brother carrying a huge boombox. Let's put it this way: He wasn't showing da love to da white sister.
