PHSYCOLOGIST OR PSYCHIATRIST AND THEY MAKE 100-500 AN HOUR. SINCE HEALTHCARE WENT DOWN FROM THE DEINSTITUTIONALIZATION IN THE 80-90'S IN THE USA, YOUR NOT USING MANY INSURANCES. SO YOUR ON FLAT RATE. SOME DOCS MAKE A LOT WHILE OTHERS DON'T AND MALPRACTICE INSURANCE IS REQUIRED AND SKYROCKETING, SO THINK ABOUT IT.

Other than psychologist or psychiatrist, there are other speciality areas you can concentrate on for example: family counselling, drug counselling, etc. A therapist does not necessarily require a Ph.d

A psychiatris is a doctor trained in the treatment of people with psychiatric disorders
A psychologist studies behavior and experience, and who is licensed to provide therapeutic services
Start with your psych classes and as you get more involved you will learn where you want to specialize and much training you will need. Good luck to you.
