If "turn the other cheek" is Christian... then what is "preemptive strike?"

And I hope you realize that the Sermon on the Mount is Christian.

It is true: "turn the other cheek" is not only Christian, it is arguably quintessentially Christian.

But I'm not sure what "preemptive strike" is referring to. I you are talking about Dubya, Dick "Dick" Cheney and the neocons, I have to smile. Lakely, bud -- they are so far away from the teachings of Jesus Christ, they are so far removed from anything truly Christian, it's almost comical when I hear the republicans try to call themselves "God's party."

They're going into Iran for their own monetary-based, personal reasons. "Preemptive strike" is nothing but another double-speak BushCo ruse to mollify us while they do exactly whatever they want.

But who didn't know this, huh? Oh, except for the fundies who don't WANT to know it?

What did Jesus do when He walked into the temple and found that the priests had turned it into a business? He freaked out, threw everyone out on the street, and said to tear it down because He would rebuild it in three days. Our Governmental officials have the responsibility of the preservation of life in our Country and will strike out in the face of eminent threats. We as individual Christians are told to turn the other cheek just as Jesus did when prosecuted. Judgment is rendered fairly by God. Jesus loves us all but is going to strike dead all unsaved people in the final battle.

Cherry-picking from the Bible just makes you look foolish. Are you?

If you had bothered to research your question before hand, you would know that the antichrist will come from Europe.

God set governments up to rule the nations. He also gave them the right to protect them. Which part of this do you not understand?

"Turn the other cheek" is to deep for you to understand.

Well, anything that is against Christ is anti-christ. I have always felt that the actual anti-christ is a body of believers who have, will and do knowingly mock and reject his divine teachings even to the good news the God is our loving Heavenly Father. Should such a body of believers become the norm on our world, then will this world be in deep you know what.

Turn the other cheek is regarding non-lethal (a slap in the face) personal attacks and was not meant to be taken as military advice.

Remember the the sermon on the mount was written to us as individuals. When God spoke to government and He gave them authority He allowed them to defend themselves against evil.
