Mayfair Smooth - surely an oxymoron??

I agree, they think roll-ups are beneath them, but let me tell you, when I smoked proper cigs, I was an arshole. When I went back to rollies my bohemian spirit also returned. I find it's usually the folk that want to return to such a mindset (i.e. back to their teen days, before crap jobs and crap marriages) that are really into rollies! They think it's so boho and daring!! try lacing it with opium, that's far more daring, hahaha

I do agree with you and I'm a smoker, It does not occur to me to offer someone who smokes roll ups my ciggies, strangely though, I always offer one to someone who smokes a tailor made. I just can't explain why is that. May be I just see it as they prefer the roll up one than tailor made.

Afriend of mine once said the roll ups have less chemicals than the tailor made ones, so may be I just perceive people who smoke roll ups as ones who don't like smoking cigarettes.

Hahaha!!! You're so right. But in my experience, as a smoker of pre-made cigarettes, when I offer one to a roll-up smoker they always say "oh no thanks....they kill my throat. Baccy is a lot cleaner." So I never offer anymore as I don't want to offend them with my awful commercialised disgusting Mayfair Smooth.

i love rollups way better than cigs i just cant get the hang of rolling, mine always fall apart or are weird shapes and it takes me forever to roll one. thats my explination. and i offer if i know the other person prefers a smoke. i usualy trade a cig for a rolled one.

Rolling your own can be seen as a tad antisocial.

It's cheaper AND, what's more, looks it, so many smokers frown upon self-rollers. Don't worry. OK people say it's bad for you, but at least the ciggie is clean and freshly prepared, and no bigger/smaller than you personally require it to be!

So what, people who roll their own still have cigarettes. I don't offer my smokes to anybody, but if they ask, that's a different story.

That's odd. People are always asking me for one of my rollups. ;-)
