I put fog lights on my jeep and used an in line fuse, which you can get at any local auto parts store. They have been working fine for 5 years without any problems

I would run your POS red wire right off the Battery on a inline fuse to a relay then run your lights off the relay with inline fuses, then run your "switch" wire from your relay to your dash and hook it into a 30amp switch.

Ground the switch and the relay.

This is the correct way to do it, if you were to buy a wire light kit you would do the same thing.

If you put it into your Jeeps fuse box and you have an unknown issue with the lights you may end up messing up your fuse box $$$$$$.

If you run some big gun KC lights use a FORD starter relay, they are just about water tight and can take the high loads.

Good luck.

You don't need to...you can run an in line fuse and that should take care of it.
