I would not like to advise you on this except to go and see a lawyer who can deal with this. Most law centres have such people and you probably have one not far from you. However I don't think you really want to be neutralised do you

what you need to do, is first of all get passed the UK citizenship,
when you are an UK citizen, get a new passport from the UK in your marital name; keep your India passport until it expires and then get it renewed in your marital name.
your new UK passport will be issued in your marital name.
you do not apply for dual citizenship, you apply for UK citizenship only.
you may apply for UK citizenship if you have been married and living in the UK :
Persons applying for British citizenship through naturalisation must normally have:
been in the UK at the beginning of the period of 5 years ending with the date of application;
spent not more than 450 days outside the UK in the period and not more that 90 days outside the UK in the final 12 months immediately preceding the application for naturalisation;
held UK permanent residence (indefinite leave to remain) for at least the final 12 months immediately preceding the UK naturalisation application;
not been in breach of the UK Immigration Law during the 5 year period.
If, however, the applicant is married to a British Citizen on the date of application a three-year residence requirement is applicable. The applicant must show that he or she:
Was in the United Kingdom at the beginning of the three year period; and
On the date the application is received in the Home Office, his or her stay is not subject to any time limit under the immigration laws; and
In the three year period he or she was not outside the United Kingdom for more than 270 days; and
In the last twelve months of the three year period he or she was not outside the United Kingdom for more than 90 days; and
He or she was not at any time in the three-year period in the United Kingdom in breach of the immigration laws.

UK CITIZENSHIP THROUGH NATURALISATION
The general rule is that a foreign or Commonwealth national who has lived in the UK for five years or more can apply for naturalisation as a British citizen if they:

are of good character;

have sufficient knowledge of English;

intend, once naturalised, to have their principal home in the UK; and

meet the residence requirements outlined below.
