The majority of guys prefer a shorter woman, and most women probably prefer a taller guy.
Personally I try to avoid dancing, since I dance like a retarded monkey.

I'm not sure, I find tall girls attractive because I'm a tall guy, but every once in awhile I'll see a girl who's taller than me, and I'll just go whoa. I think it is a little bit intimidating, because I'm used to being the taller one, and it makes me feel a bit inadequate.

As a man who is 5'6" and finds himself too short for a lot of women's taste yet too tall for circus midgets, I have found that height matters most to a lot of women. Most women I know like their men to be taller than they are.
That being said, I don't have a problem with a woman being taller than I am. If we click and enjoy each others company, I don't have a problem with her height. As long as I can look her in her eyes when we slow dance. Only thing a woman can do really that would intimidate me is to wield a weapon in my direction. Other than that, I can usually overlook most anything as long as she is legal. LOL

i know i'm not a guy, sorry but i just wanted to say i dated someone 4 inches shorter than me and it wasn't noticeable because he was built and i was thin, you couldn't tell unless i wore heels. we dated for like 2 years. and recently a guy who dances showed interest and he is small and a bit shorter than me, again, only noticeable with heels. i think it's really up to the girl to decide what her preference is, i think if a guy likes you he doesn't care... plus he likes the view. lol!

i prefer the girl to be smaller than me definitely. Taller is kind of a turn off!!

Hmm...well I'm 6'5..so thankfully I don't have that problem with the exception of women in the NBA...but if they were taller I wouldn't have a problem with that.

pref is same height or shorter, though i think apperarnce isnt everything, she could just be a delight even though she maybe taller.
