My mom has this condition...it's usually managed if you eat well. She cannot eat any nuts, seeds, or greens like Lettuce.

I'm not sure why but thats what she tries to avoid. Here's a good website that kind of hashes out what is to be eaten and whats to be avoided.

Hope I helped !

Google it and it'll tell you all about it and foods to avoid. Seeds-cucumber seeds, tomato seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, the inside little bean in green beans, strawberries cause of the little seeds, blueberries, raspberries, basically anything with little seeds that may get into a pocket and cause pain for you. I hope I helped a little bit. You can lead a normal life, you just have to watch what you eat. When I was little my Mom had this. I used to cut the seeds out of tomatoes, cucumbers and shell out the little beans in green beans. Good luck.

Definitely, no nuts, no seeds or foods containing either one.
What you can eat is food that naturally flushes the system. Vegetables/salad.
I would have hoped that your doctor would have given you an idea of what foods would be best. Call his office and find out or visit WebMD. Don't be scared, arm yourself with as much information as you can find.
Good luck and best of health to you.

Taking an acidophilius pro-biotic helps with diverticulitis, but you should eat healthier food with less yeast and sugar in them cause it gets worse if you have diverticulitis.

seeds and nuts are the big no-no's, but avoid anything with a lot of fiber.
