As a Hindu, I pride myself in belonging to the only living religion that has NEVER, in its entire 6,500-year recorded history, attempted to convert anyone - by either force, financial benefits, or even gentle coaxing !
Other religions, which have an in-built insecurity about their own lack of depth or relevance, depend on such 'short cut's - because these seem the ONLY ways in which anyone else may be tempted to join their fold.
...Hinduism is the only religion that does not claim to be the 'only path to salvation', but broadmindedly announces that "just as all rivers lead into the sea, so do all religions lead to God".
That is why, Hinduism still flourishes and steadily expands [there are over 1.1 billion Hindus in the world, today !].
...On the other hand, several other 'younger' religions are already facing uncomfortable questions concerning the contradictions in the fundamental concepts upon which they are based. And they are steadily losing a significant proportion of their 'flock's - who can no longer have faith in most of their inappropriate and narrow-minded claims, most of which have since been disproved by logic, science, or even both !

christians have a thought that theirs is the only God. So they convert. But for their information, Conversion is not accepted in Hinduisim, and though u convert urself, ur still a hindu, if u want or not. Regarding Christians being only 3% even after a century of conversion. 2 things, 1. about a century ago the no. of christians in the country was less than 0.5%. 2. the population then was just 36 crores. Now 102 crores. So conversion slow but sure affecting the country. If we dont take steps, soon Indian religion would die as did the Greek, Roman and many such. But U have one Hope, Our religion is more adaptable. That is why it is staying.

If these foolish christians will really come in contact with a real Hindu - they will come to know what they r missing.
From Hinduism they will learn the real way of life - it will help them to come out of the christian hallucination.

ok.....though some hindus do believe in jesus(see above) most hindus dont believe in the teachings of jesus(im half hindu half buddhist).....and teaching hindus to believe in jesus is like asking christians to believe in krishna(im not saying in a tone).....that would be madness....all the hindu teachings would be turned around.and there are hindus who dont believe in jesus himself so i dont think this is a possibility.....
im simply stating a point i am on no ones side.

During the partition of India, when so very many people died in the struggles between Muslims and Hindus, there is a story that the elders of a small, mixed religion village got together to come up with ways to end the violence in their community.
One of their agreements was, "No proselytization of religion, except for the Christians, because that is their religion."

why should anybody change their religion ?for what reason ?i am a hindu. that doesn't mean i don't believe in christianity.i am a hindu because i was born in that religion. & i want to be there where i was born.religion is just like our mother. (atleast for me ) i do go to church & i do pray to christ.& i do go to temples & pray to my gods.neither christ nor krishna have objected . both have accepted my prayers.but if u want me to cahge my religion , sorry then i start hating the religion which forces others to change their their roots.

INDIA (Newsroom) – Six Christian missionaries participating in a gospel campaign called "Love Ahmedabad" were beaten so savagely in the state of Gujarat last week that one of the men may lose his arms and legs.
Members of the Hyderabad-based Operation Mobilization (OM) were distributing Bibles and religious tracts in Ahmedabad, about five miles from Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, the afternoon of May 5 when they were attacked by members of the Hindu extremist groups Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). Operation Mobilization ships tons of Christian literature around the country. The assailants also burned copies of the Bible and tracts.

The Bible disagrees with 1, 4, 5, and 6. So no matter what "great advice" someone thinks they have, if they contradict the Bible, they are wrong.
