i tried to test my connection speed at speedtest.net and they putted to me: download 295 kb/s
upload 23 kb/s.

depending on your connection! dialup! through the phone lines will take forever! cable should be really quick depending on the speeds!
i got 256k internet! 256 sending of info and only 20k of recieve! a 1 mb file is 1024k so if you figure it up! it would take me almost 2 days to recieve that! it just depends on your internet connection!

Depends on your connection. If you use 56.6 modem (dial-up) - it's normal, even TOO good. If you use something different, then you've got ADSL, ISDN or something else. In that case - check your connection settings, check you provider. Before all that, just check your internet speed here - http://www.speedtest.net

Not really, it might be worth checking your connection settings. (or having a word with your ISP)
I have a 4meg broadband connection and so far nothing has taken longer than an hour to download. (mind you it is cable and i have a wired (not wifi) connection)

Do you have dial up, cable or some other server. When I had dial up it took forever to download anything. I switched to cable and now everything is exetremely fast.

idk im kinda having the same problem right now.
i have dsl and im playing on calling my company to see what is up with that.
so if i find out i'll try to let you know.
