You need to understand the concept of time. In Islam God is the "Self-created" meaning he has existed "forever."
It's a hard concept. Basically he is "no time", where he exists there is no lapse in time like in this world. Meaning that God has always existed, there was niether his creation or his end. Unlike us we have a beggining and and end considering time.

Man created God and the myth about the creation of the Universe. The Universe itself has always existed. The Big Bang is merely a point in time and space and not some kind of "beginning".

God and Universe are not two separate entities - . So there is no question of creation of the latter by the former. They don't co-exist either. Truth cannot be two. Either you see the Universe or you see God. When you see the Universe, you dont see God. When you see God, the Universe disappears. It is the mind that reflects God as the Universe. Remove the mirror called mind, and there is no Universe. Only God exists.

God exists in timeless eternity.
How does this get around the problem of God's creation? There are two possible interpretations of these verses. One is that God exists outside of time. Since we live in a universe of cause and effect, we naturally assume that this is the only way in which any kind of existence can function. However, the premise is false. Without the dimension of time, there is no cause and effect, and all things that could exist in such a realm would have no need of being caused, but would have always existed. Therefore, God created the time dimension of our universe specifically for a reason - so that cause and effect would exist for us.
God exists in multiple dimension of time.
The second interpretation is that God exists in more than one dimension of time. Things that exist in one dimension of time are restricted to time's arrow and are confined to cause and effect. However, two dimensions of time form a plane of time, which has no beginning and no single direction. A being that exists in at least two dimension of time can travel anywhere in time and never had a beginning, since a plane of time has no starting point. Either interpretation leads one to the conclusion that God has no need of having been created.
To conclude, I would say that God has no need to have been created, since He exists either outside time (where cause and effect do not operate) or within multiple dimensions of time (such that there is no beginning of a plane of time). Hence God is eternal, having never been created. Although it is possible that the universe itself is eternal, eliminating the need for its creation, observational evidence contradicts this hypothesis, since the universe began to exist a finite ~13.7 billion years ago. The only possible escape for the atheist is the invention of a kind of super universe, which can never be confirmed experimentally (hence it is metaphysical in nature, and not scientific).

God, the human souls, matter... exist since forever. They just exist. Creation is actually a question of quality.
God's qualityes are always the same whereas human souls change from perfect to imperfect and together with them the matter also changes. To restore the quality of the souls and the matter is God's task because He is the only one stable in His qualityes - means He is the only one who remains perfect when everyone and everything becomes imperfect.
It is this restoring of qualityes that is called creation.
Does it make sense? If yes - then it means that today you were introduced to deep secrets of creation. Congrats...:)

God is believed to be the nucleus of the Universe and therefore He is the supreme power. Things went up wrong from the very beginning of the creation of man. When things went wrong beyond control, the society that existed then thought that the power of God as the supreme being is to be brought in to exercise restraint and civility among his creations with the creation of Hell and Heaven and God's power to commit His creations rewarding or punishing as they deserved. God is one and the entire living beings worship on God in different names. The Gods other than the real one that is universal to all human beings are the creation of opportunistic and self centred selfish human biengs.

The only way out of this dilemma is to accept that there is nothing "created" at all but only "transformed". The universe is God itself which manifests itself in itself. No creation needed, problem solved...
