It is a funny thing about life: If you refuse to accept anything but the best you very often get it.

From "The Road Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck:

Life is difficult.

This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters...
Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them? ...

OMG yes. There was a time I was the victim, then I finally accepted responsibility for myself & what happened in my life, then everything began to change. In my path it has been a process of coming to truth, & I am sure I still do not have all the answers. So as I learn new questions & get different answers I change. I realize we are given aspects of truth & understanding as we are able to understand & accept it, one aspect builds on the other. If I settle for what I have or know now, I rob myself of a opportunity to be everything possible for me. I must always be open & willing to lose what I think is true or even me for the next step & understanding that comes my way.
Thanks for a wonderful question (((HUG)))

The knowledge has always been there, but I just chose to ignore it. Now I listen, and my life has completely changed for the better.
I read Peck's book, and I didn't like it. However, it could have been where I was on my own journey at the time because I was trying to rid my life of difficulties, and that will lead to serious stress and, for me, mental illness.
The bottom line is I changed my thoughts and my life followed suit.

Yes,
As in the Dr. Peck meaning, I am a serpent that turned into a dragon, which has been humbled by God. (Even though that may have been in the People of the Lie, do not meet too many people who read his stuff though.)

At one time I wished for my dreams to come true. Now I wish for all the dreams of everyone to be true and will do all I can to help that happen. :-)
