It is better if you spend your time doing drugs. I mean you get the same result, feeling if there is something beyond you, that is "great".

Belief.
Whether you believe there is a God, or not, a little daily prayer doesn't do any harm.
Drugs? There is nothing "great" about drugs. They just rot your mind and waste your life.

You are so funny. But, not really. Actually your question is a little sad. Praying is not a waste of time. God has answered my prayers above and beyond what I even ask.

You think anyone who does drugs is routed in reality? You are living a fantasy. You are living a lie. Drugs wont make you happy. You might be killing yourself too much to notice but when all is said and done you will be miserable if you keep on that path.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. And the Bible agrees with you. "If only for this life we hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all people."
I only pray because I believe in God - otherwise it wouldn't make sense. And if there was no God I would be completely wasting my time.

Good question! Christians waste their entire lives in preparation for the afterlife, stupidly dwindling their time waiting for something that will never come. At least Jews have a better outlook on life, because they believe that God punishes and rewards them for their actions here on Earth.
