The lives of God and the Devil are just metaphors for the human conscience, the struggle between good and evil is the struggle within us all! this struggle was not comprehensible to the ancients so they made up God and the devil to personify their goodness and their internal demons

Hmm..okay this is what I heard, Satan was God's brother...and they both lived in heaven, then Satan did some evil doing or something bad so God sent him to Hell to live since he did wrong. If that is true..isn't God really evil? I mean everyone makes mistake is there really a need to send your own flesh and blood to another place because of a mistake? I understand if it was rape, or killing or something. But damn...I'm not Christian or anything, but that's what I heard from people who said they were Christian. So can someone clear this up?
..also to answer your question I do think god can be evil and can do evil. I mean who doesn't do evil things once in a while? No one is perfect and I know God isn't either, and no I'm not 'hating' on God or anything..but just speaking what's logical.

Well this requires two answers.
1) From a theological perspective, evil is disobeying gods will. Thus, whatever god wishes is law and thus good. God can not do what he doesn't want to do, so no.
Look at it this way. In the bible, god stands aside and watches a jobs family suffers and is murdered and then job is brought to the brink of death, all to prove his loyalty. If you or I allowed this to happen to our subordinates or to our children, we would be branded as band leaders and parent and many would even consider us EVIL. God also killed the first born male child of every Egyptian to force Pharaoh to let Moses and his people go. The first born male child of every family. How many babies, infest, toddlers, young children and early teenagers do you think died. What if the U.S. killed the first born child of every Middle eastern Muslim in order to pressure the terrorists to stop their bombings? Would it be justified or would WE be called evil? God leveled two cities (Sodom and Gomorrah) because there was too much sin. Every man, woman and child (and presumably unborn children since there were undoubtedly pregnant woman too.) were killed. Then he told one of the good people not to look back and when she did dead! Turned into a pillar of salt. Imagine the U.S. blowing up an entire town because crime, degradation and lawlessness was too substantial. How evil would that be. Then again, according to the bible, when humanity displeased god, he saved one family and some animals killed all other life on earth. That's genocide. And yet people still consider him good and not evil.
SO! Can god do evil? According to his believers, ABSOLUTELY NOT because whatever he does is justified since he is the make, the lord and the almighty perfect being. We just don’t understand it.
2) The notion of a god is a human construct created to dispel fear of the unknown. Not only is there no evidence that a god exists or ever did exists there is a great deal of evidence to the contrary. (meaning that god is not real) Over the years, the meaning of worlds used to describe fundamental religious truths have been redefined over and over again. Biblical stories have been proven to be inaccurate at best or absorbed into Hebrew lore from other religious cultures most of which are now considered dead religions or mythologies. So, can god DO evil, no. god does not exist. However, if you look at all the wars, murders, mutilations, cultural damage and suffering that has been caused by the belief in god, and I would say that the entire notion of god is evil
I hope this helps.

One thing you need to keep about evil and good is that:
Evil is disorder, and good is order.
God creates order whereby satan uses methods to detroy that order. It's not a misconception, you wrote misperception. The other reason why God is 'good' rather than 'evil' is also through the perspective in which created ths world. It is said in the Quran
"Oh humanity! There is no reason I created you other than to worship me."
Cearly satan is a test not a creation of evil by God. If we worship God, then we can simply by-pass Satan's handiwork.

Evil won't last for eternity. Evil will be completely destroyed at the end of time, and Satan will be no more the ruler of the world.
The will of God will be done, as IT IS in heaven.
No, God is not a liar like Satan, God is Truth. God is NOT evil.
Are angels of God like demons? Was Jesus like Hitler?
NO and NO. And God cannot do evil to anyone, it is Satan who do evil to us.
God IS Good.

God can do anything that is a thing. Some things are meaningless because they are inherent contradictions. God cannot be evil and still be God. So, God being evil is not a thing.
Simply stringing words together in a sentence does not make it a rational statement.

Congratulations on pointing out that the concepts of good and evil are more fundamental than gods. If there are any gods, sure, they could be evil.

Yes god also did mistaken as he created devil Satan to anti him. He created us not to obey him and questioning to him. He used water to overflow the whole world, He used a lot of nature disasters to ruin the city.
What is the right? What is the wrong? Where is your standpoint to support your right and wrong?
