sorry ..I've been in the business for far too long and i have never found it yet ..but if you have dry lined the walls very carefully and used the correct boards (recessed edges) then you can scrim the joints and fill them ..sand them down and then paint them with emulsion (Matt) .when i was working in Canada they used latex emulsion ..and that is successful

In this case I would use a 1000gram lining paper having first filled and sanded the worst of the area. When thoroughly dry paint as you would a bare wall using a matt finish paint. Matt does hide some defects. Silk or gloss shows them up.

Step No. 1. Scrape the wall thoroughly.
Step No. 2. Apply putty and allow it to dry.
Step No. 3. Apply a primer coat; dry.
Step No. 4. Apply the final coat of a pleasant shade.
