What I love and hate about "alternative viewpoint" rants is that they so often make the status quo look sane by comparison.

With 'trepidation' I read your offering. Freedom of speech should always be a given but as you point out will be limited by the person's culture, etc. Your words ramble some, probably due to having to insert words but you pose some strong questions. Liked the 'cut-tipped pen' image and 'never apologize for giving voice to thoughts'. Overall though, this needs more editing and a run through spell check.

Excellent Rant, keep on ranting.
Initially you feel that you are shouting down a long dark tunnel and getting no where.
However, one day a power-full Politician will be directly effected.
Then changes will happen.
Be kind when you say ''I told you so''.
