First, what exactly makes the Bible a "fairy tale book"? The fact that you don't believe it's true? Then history books would be "fairy tale books" to anyone who didn't want to believe them.
Second, no modern discovery has yet disproved the historical narrative in the Bible. There is no reason that a person cannot study science, make "modern" discovers, and still have faith in God. One cannot prove that God *doesn't* exist, so atheists have *faith* that He doesn't. So why isn't atheism a religion? It is based on individual beliefs and not fact.
Third, evolution has been disproved so many different ways. The only reasons it is still taught today are 1) people don't WANT to believe in God, so evolution *has* to be true (::sarcasm::), and 2) it is so ingrained in the culture that it would take an overhaul of our government and educational system to get it out.
Finally, how many atheists tell their children REAL lies by telling their kids about the easter bunny, tooth fairy, santa claus, and the social security system? I'm never going to raise my kids on those lies.

This is because they themselves had been cheated to believe the book! So, whose fault is it? The parents or
the children? Decide yourself. To some people, science
and evolution mean nothing, even though deep in their
hearts they know the truth. Poor guys!

Do you really think you have the right to tell parents how they ought to raise their own children?
Your own parents were seriously amiss in not seeing to it that you learned proper spelling and grammar back in grade school.
Did you know that it is entirely possible to know about "modern discoveries and evolution" and still keep your faith in God?
How much do you actually know about these things? Judging by your question, about enough to aggravate, but not enough to educate.

Well I'm not a parent but I don't plan on indoctrinating my kids. I will try to teach them history and Greek, Latin and Hebrew in their youth, but it is up to them to decide matters of faith. As to evolution, it has not been proven to me so I cannot teach it to my kids. If they want to study that they have my full support.

"Twas the night before Christmas..."
You mean that lie?
You really must get over your parents telling you that little fib.
This is really holding you back from the "God" possibility.
