Some people are called and will die for our Lord as all the Apostles did in awful ways.
But and until you do (if ever),
Who is ready to truely LIVE for Christ Jesus Now?

Way To Go! That_Guy_Drew!
Mark Ch 10
28 Peter began to tell Him, "Look, we have left everything and followed You." 29 "I assure you," Jesus said, "there is no one who has left house, brothers or sisters, mother or father, children, or fields because of Me and the gospel, 30 who will not receive 100 times more, now at this time--houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions--and eternal life in the age to come

Amen. I know several people that would be willing to die for the Lord-but they won't follow Him. It amazed me at first. They want God to be more like Santa Claus than Himself. They profess to know Jesus but are not willing to follow Him, rather they want God to follow them wherever they go. I must say that their lives are not all that stable. Are they saved? I can't say they aren't, but instead of following His voice they expect Him to follow their lives.
I pray that I can hear the voice of the Lord to truly follow Him wherever He wants me to go. The school of hard knocks has certainly taught me His path is far less troublesome than those I have picked for my life. It is always safe to trust the Lord.

I am happy to live with Christ. I can only live for him because everything else I ever tried to make me happy never did. My life was void and empty until the Lord came to dwell in my heart. Sure I cried out to the Lord, "SAVE ME LORD!" But my cries were not as sincere as I thought they were at the time. A few altar calls later my mind seemed to be made up to live for Christ, but my heart still showed me that I wasn't in Love with Christ. The Holy Spirit came into me one night and it was AWESOME to know Christ this way. I know that was the day he changed my heart and I was Spiritually baptised. I felt like something was broken in me and he melted my heart. The walls I had built up were literally pulverized. I felt clean inside for the first time in my life. Still I was not madly in love with the Lord.

I am happy now, and I am happy to proclaim, I can truly say "I live for Christ and I love the Lord." I know that I can grow more, and I look foward to God's plan for my life inspite of death's threat. I look foward to anything that the Lord has planned for my Life, whatever it is, it leads me to him. After all, death has lost it's sting and...

"Heaven is where my heart is."

In Christ,

In todays society, there are many who follow Jesus. They may not leave their homes to follow him as was done in the Bible, but there are many ways to follow the Lord. You yourself are following him simply by posting questions to the other members of the Yahoo community. And I am following him simply by answering questions which will lead people on the right path,

Catch those who hurt
As they tumble and fall.
Please turn around
The ones with anger,

I will not follow a god that kills my first born child if I so choose not to follow him. A god that rules like that is by definition a dictator.

I am dissapointed when I hear phrases like "all i know is that i no longer need any kind of approval from anyone but God." Ignoring reality should never be a part of believing in a deity.
