With all the negative media attention to China here in the USA, could it be that we are being manipulated into disliking and distrusting another super nation to stifle it's economy?

Governments always manipulate the people. That is what politics is.
Always keep an open mind and don't believe everything you hear.

If you think China and US will go into a cold war, then you don't know politics at all, politics is all about profits, you think end up in cold war is good for both country?

and the 4th guy above me said China "hates" America and Japan, no, there's no hatred among abstract governments, only just "guarded", doesn't every country do the same thing to foreign countries?..actually China is pretty close to America and Japan, again, business.

Highly unlikely

unlike the Soviet Union the economies United States and China are far too intertwined at this point for a cold war.

Their might be tensions, but a protracted cold war would be an economic disaster for both nations. As a result it will not happen.

i've got faith that each and every of the weapons interior the international would not quit China in the event that they desperate to invade Taiwan. And China won't do something stupid until it fairly is accustomed to they that their financial gadget can stay to tell the story with out the u . s .. At that element u . s . will disintegrate through financial disaster. And China could be the main powerfull united states of america interior the international.

could be. i read that 3% of china's economy relies on exports sent here to wal mart. and if there's any one nation that could take us out, either by military or economic might or both, it's china. you have to remember that the chinese govt is very mistrustful of ALL foreign countries, and we ''imperialists'' aren't exactly their bestest buddies. after reading some of the testimonies of chinese people who survived various communist coups, i don't really think we're being manipulated all that badly. it does happen, but i think it's safe to say china isn't our number one fan. when china, russia, and iran join hands once and for all, THAT'S when we're in big trouble. it's not going to be a *cold* war... WWIII is in the mail.

There's good money to be made by having a cold war just as you can make a lotta money from a hot religion.
"stifle it's economy?"
Nah; it's good for business, especially for the rest of the world.

And from the looks of things... China will make it a full blown war if things keep up....
