and I add ingerdients to it sugar cinnamon whatever the recipe requires and all three recipes have been different what can it be??? Does it matter if I use Bleached or Unbleached flour?? Please Help!!

It does matter what type of flour you use to bake sweets. Always use a self- rising flour for baking and not whole wheat flour. Self-rising flour is basically all purpose but has salt and baking powder added. When baking sweets, do not add baking powder or salt even if they are called for in the recipe as they are already part of the flour ingredients. I hope this was helpful.

Bambi had a good tip, but I usually bake with AP Flour and add the salt & soda myself (that's how my home ec teaching grandma taught me).

Make sure you're not packing your measuring cup with flour. Spoon it into the cup and then level off with a knife.

Also, follow the mixing directions (adding the dry to wet, etc)
