Atheists aren't tantalized by glitz, they just want the information. Since Christianity offers no substance of value, they have to dress it up.

That's not entirely true, but perhaps in general there are a couple reasons.
Christians are concerned about appearances while Atheists are concerned with substance.
Christian organizations are replete with members sending them their hard earned cash as tithes, and thus can afford expensive design houses. Atheists finance themselves.
Churches can afford to pay people to sit around and create web sites and graphics and style sheets and flash animations. Atheists have to work for a living.

Money.
Christians hoard and steal more money from people than pretty much any other institution on earth, especially the Catholics.
Atheists are the object of hatred of all religious people, and in most countries, they are more concerned with trying not to be killed than with making their websites look nice.
Christians have the money to hire professional site designers. Atheists don't.

Atheists are people who want to live a fun, simple, good life with tons of fun, partying, and drinking games.
So yeah, once you get your point across the internet, you dont need lots of photoshopping skills, HTML, coding, and flash to do useless work.

It’s probably got a lot to do with y'all have had heapsa practice doing smoke and mirrors, misdirection and sleight of hand.
We, on the other hand, are a little more partial to reality and easy to access information.
Oh, I come here to laugh.

Hello Polar Bear,
Yes that is true. One of my favorite christian websites is http://www.landoverbaptist.org. I am tired of all the criticism on us homskooked christians and in my family my wife teaches our children one hour of web design for every ten hours of bible practical application theory

Because it's more about the content, than making it look pretty. If things have to be pretty for you, then it makes sense that you're religious. You don't have to think about Religion, they tell you what to think. Have fun looking at all of the pretty pictures, I'll be continuing to figure out how the world works.

All I see is glitter graphics and footprints in sand... and istock photos up the wazoo....
I'm not aware of any atheist websites... could you post a link?
But I have seen some religious websites that overloaded my browser and sent me running away from my desk...
Christians have never really been known for their style and taste... admit it...

don't know. i've never knowingly gone to an atheistic website. from what i've seen, atheists tend to be more analytical and less artistic (not speaking in absolute terms, of course). maybe that has something to do with it.
