1 Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

The problem, as I see it, is that as the church has grown in numbers and has spread out of the mountain west the General Authorities have been more and more concerned about Gentiles seeing the church members as just regular Christians with the BofM.
It was always the "unique" doctrines that held my attention. It was the "unique" doctrines that gave the pioneers the faith to move to Utah.
Unfortunately the only people who hold to those "unique" doctrines are some of the fundamentalist LDS churches. (And no, I'm not talking about polygamy. There is the nature of God, the role of Adam & Eve, our relationship to God, etc.)
Anyway, re: the website you link to, *yawn*! Read it or not if believing them makes you happier stay with them, if The Church makes you happier, stay there. It's as simple as that!

I can very much believe that some people out there believe (and say) weird things about us. It's nothing new, really - it's been going on since practically the beginning.

But I don't let it bother me. They will either come around or will have to explain themselves to the Lord in the end.

It doesn't surprise me. All the hatred the anti's throw. Stay away from it. It will damage your spirit. Lucifer looks for ANY way in. Just know that he focuses so hard on us because we have the truth and he knows it. Why would he focus time and energy at places that aren't willing to "Stand as a Witness."

I can't say I like what they say about our church, but having the personality I have, I like to prove people wrong.

It excites me to contradict other's contradictions, and for some reason it helps me grow in my testimony. For other people, contradictions tear them away from the church. But I have a strong foundational testimony in it, and there's nothing that can tear me away from that.

why read it if you are not interested I do not believe it is true. but I would not bother to read it. Jesus' desciples may have deserted him in the garden but they came back to reseave the holy spirit.
