Yes.
In fact, I advocate a return to the Roman Empire so that Fred Phelps can martyr himself "for the faith".
The ultimate blood sacrifice, if you ask me.

When did we sacrifice humans? Last time I read the story Abraham was told to but was stopped when God saw his obedience and a ram was provided. The blood of the animals only covered our sins and the Blood of Jesus cleansed us. WE were made white as snow in God's eyes when we accept the blood of Christ.

I must have missed the part where Christians sacrificed family members and sheep. Was that in Eusebius? or was it Irenaeus? Refresh my memory here.

Christ dying on the cross was the last blood offering to mankind if you will. His dying for our sins, and shedding His blood no longer gives any reason for blood sacrifices, as His blood was shed for us, that we may accept Him as Savior and have eternal life.

I am sure there are still plenty of "blood" sacrifices on the highways these days to make up for anything you may want.
