IF YOU JUSTIFY THE ACTIONS OF THE MILITARY IN BOTH THESE INCIDENTS THEN YOURE JUST AS SICK AND SADISTIC AS THE PEOPLE WHO POINT CLICK AND KILL INNOCENT NON COMBATANT CIVILIANS. HAVE AN OCCUPYING ARMY COME TO YOUR DOOR AND SHOOT YOUR BELOVED PET BECAUSE IT BARKS TOO MUCH. C'mon people, give Tatyana a break. She asked what we thought of this. Maybe she's trying to find out if it's the truth or not.
I would also like to see the source. Were the parents killed by US/Coalition (I doubt that. We don't operate that way with single man checkpoints.) or Iraqis? I doubt that it was Iraqi either, but I have seen single Iraqi soldiers on a checkpoint in outlying areas. Or could this have been a criminal element establishing an illegal checkpoint to rob innocent civilians. Illegal checkpoints, set up by militias and criminals, happens all the time here in Iraq.
But without further details, I can't speculate any further on this matter. Besides if it really happened and was committed by US forces, it would be all over the news.

Where did you get this? Ever been in the military or in combat? What constitutes an "armor piercing round"? Even if all you say is true it isn't anything like Calley and Me Lai. What are the local rules about checkpoints? Does yellow tape across a road dirt packed or otherwise designate a check point? What were the orders for when somebody ran the check point? This sounds like somebody that doesn't know what they're talking about.

Proof? Evidence? Is this what you believe? You might wish to cite the source so others can check it and the evidence they give, otherwise you are simply passing on a rumor or even a lie.

well i can tell you that it didnt happen like that. they wouldnt leave just 1 soldier there. nor would they mark the checkpoint with just yellow tape. ya know what it sounds like, sounds like a haji sob story. they have a tendency to stretch the truth to the point of lying.
