Plenty of fiber! It helps get the food faster through your gastrointestinal tract and has plenty of important nutrients. Especially good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables, and whole-grain foods. Personally, I like oatmeal best - it tastes good, is very healthy, and does wonders for your digestion. As for the fruits, prunes and plums have a very good digestive effect (stay away from blueberries, they cause constipation). Most important: DRINK WATER. Otherwise the fiber-rich foods will just sit in your intestines and won't have the desired digestive effect.
You can get fiber supplements at the drug store. They contain psyllium, which is the fiber ingredient in natural foods. You can buy these supplements as powder for mixing with water, or plain capsules. I recommend the powder, because you just add water and it helps within 1-2 hours.

Avoid sweet and fatty foods. They are known to constipate.

Remember: drink water.

Ginger is good for the digestive system and helping to ease nausea. You can buy ginger root in a health food store or in some cases the local super market. Also check international stores like for those from Asia.

You can use the ginger to make a tea. To make the tea boil some water in a pot or coffee pot and then after a few minutes add a couple of small slices from the root to put in the water and then after a few more minutes pour in to cup. Then let it cool a bit more for about a minute or two and then drink.

Ask your doctor as well if it's ok for you to do this or eat ginger in whatever you cook (you can find ginger in powder form too sometimes as ground ginger).

What about enzymes, thats not a medication you get it at the health food store. It comes in capsules and you take 1-2 after you eat. You will feel a lot better, you won't get bloated or gassy .

No because digestion is a scientifically proven process that depends on enzymes that the body generates, and not food enzymes.
