Acts 26:1: A·grip´pa said to Paul: “You are permitted to speak in behalf of yourself.” Then Paul stretched his hand out and proceeded to say in his defense...

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Christ as Lord in YOUR hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone that demands of YOU a reason for the hope in YOU, but doing so together with a mild temper and deep respect.

So how about EX-Christians? Can't we defend our valid reasons why we quit?

Or are they going to just keep ganging up on us and get us deleted?

I doubt very much that the majority of sincere bible-believing Christians want to see you get deleted.

I agree with you--you should share your reasons for your choices. I think someone as intelligent and knowledgable as you are is an asset to any forum. We are blessed to have someone like you challenge our faith.

I'm sure you already realize that in ANY group--there are those who can cogitate, debate and add to an intellectual discourse and those who can not.

I'm interested in understanding your reasons for your decision.

Share away.

I don't know why they deleted your question. I was ready to answer and suddenly it said deleted. So I put my answer on another person's question. I think it was from Pedi C. Figured it was the same park. (Feel silly tonight). I think management thought your question was pro JW the way you worded it.

I had said in my other answer that I thought Jehovah was weeding out the organization and you made Judas look like an angel. I would like to know what hope you have, and what religion you are affiliated with, just to say you are a christian is not good enough because there are too many sects.

Don't take the word ro seriously. Christ did not write it himself but his apostles. Though it is true that Christ makes the most sense when reading the good book, never letit escapr that it was written my his dominians and ot Christ himself. Further, the Book of James was translated at least three different times until we read the English version. many edits were done my the Wigrams of England as late as the 1800's. Don't take it word for word. I do not believe Christ wanst that. think for yourself and know in your heart what is true. Christ loves us all, and sacrificed his life so we would have just such an opprtunity. Don't squander it by becoming yet another hypnotized follower. Don't doubt your faith either, but be blessed in yourt ability to be a Christian and escape the restraint s of a Bible written by 100% male human prophets/historians.

When in our heart of hearts we know there is a God and that Jesus was sent forth from God the we are still a Christian.

Maybe a very hurt and angry Christian that is following a path to settle conflicts that were imposed by previous cult exposure.

The devil his very own self plants doubts and deceitful information. Life long deception though is a tool that God Almighty may use for a much deeper reason.

You are not alone in following the path of there is no God or gods. Some people overcome the anger and pray to find why God allowed them to be deceived.

First we must stop feeding into the deception of there is no God.

One of Satan's biggest tricks is to get people to believe he does not exist and the other big trick is to get people to believe God Almighty does not exist.

Those who hold irrational beliefs without evidence can hardly be expected to appreciate evidence and rationale for unbelief. But hopefully the occasional Christian will remember their own history and how every attempt by majoritarian pagans to suppress their religion only caused it to spread. The Catholics subsequently learned that playing whack-a-mole with apostates and heretics gave birth to a hundred "Christian" movements that would label them heretics and apostates. The more we exert ourselves to intolerance, the more we harden the opposition in their determination to be tolerated.

I've always thought that truth should be able to compete in the marketplace of ideas. Yet those who seem most adamant that they possess the very oracles of God often seem most insecure about competing. Strikes me as a lack of faith, the sort Bin Laden and his crowd exhibit when they assert that Allah can't accomplish his purposes without the aid of a gang of thugs and murderers.

And I find it really offensive and condescending when someone calls a woman "sweetie." In fact it's even more offensive and condescending when one woman does it to another as they certainly know how disrespected they feel when someone does it to them.

We are expected to stand up for our beliefs, but in a nonviolent and non aggressive fashion. We should not force our beliefs on others or judge what others believe.
