Superman is DC comics, not marvel--and they also hearsed Wonder Woman, and broke Batman's back--all for sales of course--they found out it worked when they killed the second robin

In a lot of his abilities I suppose he's what a god would be in physical form, but it's probably accurate to describe him as an alien as he's frequently described on Smallville. I did see a commercial for a dvd that's going to be released about the death of superman-- I think it's extreme to kill off such great characters, I don't think superheroes can die but there is a writer (name I can't recall) who said kill your darlings so I suppose this is what the creators of superman & capt. amer. were doing, why I'll never understand & haven't heard why they've done this.
Never was into capt. a. but always loved superman from the first time I saw christopher reeve play him onscreen & did read my step bro. comics but he'll never be dead to me.
Plus it seems odd to kill him while tom welling is playing young superman on the cw

There is some theory among fans that superman resembles jesus christ.there is a verse in movie & comics which stated "the son will become the father" which most fan resembles this with the upbringing of jesus which according to the christian that jesus forms 1 entity with the father.just like when kal-el discovers the fortress of solitude & discover his father legacy for him to save earth & mankind from destruction and alien invasion (or "sin" for that matter).other interesting theory is that the plot of superman returns movie resembles the return of jesus the messiah to earth to save humankind.although he(superman) is the man of steel, but he is not immortal in which his ability is only profound in planet earth.even so,supe can be kill with long exposure of kryptonite but in fact superman is really killed by a stronger entity from space called Doomsdays.i would say the deal of marvel & DC to kill off its character is marketing purpose or create intense story & get fans to participate in forum such as this =)

Hey pal, let's pretend you and I are writing a new Bible? What scenario would make it possible/plausable for neither us nor God* to die?
(God; the scientist from an advanced planet that formed shortly after the Universe was formed (13.7 billion years ago))
Thanks for that question.

Marvel, by doing so, positions them as a type of "super-deity", one that determines the fates (no free will, of course) of its heroes.
