No instant package of holy here. In fact, I think once a person becomes a Christian, they are immersed in temptations and trials. I think it is Satan's will for Christians to fail and to give up.

There is no "instant holy" we are to "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Phil. 2:12 The apostle Paul also wrote the following in 1 Cor. 15:31: " I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our LORD, I die daily. "
He is relating the fact that, in spite of being saved, he was still tempted in many ways throughout his life. What these temptations were we don't know, but that is not important. What is important is the fact, that in spite of being a Christian, we are still living in the flesh and temptations surround us.
When we first accept Jesus as our Saviour it is sometimes difficult to understand what God expects of us, the changes we make and why. Even though we become Christians, there will always be temptations of some type or another. For some, fleshly desires, behaving in the same manner as before, and for others the natural tendency to react in anger, to be unforgiving, gossip, and critical of others to name a few.
Satan knows our every weakness and will use these as a means to draw us away from God. He is not interested in the unsaved because he already has them, but it is the Christian he is after and will entice. But we have hope through repentance and the forgiveness of God to continue our walk with Him. Remembering that we have an advocate with the Father through Jesus Christ, the Righteous.
There are sins of omission, those we do without thinking and of commission which are those that are committed deliberately, such as anger, spiteful words, etc. When we recognize that we have sinned there is a need to restore our relationship with the person we have wronged and then come to God with a repentant and contrite heart. God Bless!

Actually, to be quite honest with you I wish they got a pamphlet or something called,"If anyone else wants the "Good News," they will pick up the paper."
It's great that you found your niche in life. Hoorah!
But some of you need to learn to respect other people's life choices. Beyond that I don't care what mistakes you guys make, that's your business.

quite frankly i think Christians are being told one thing and they are in for a big surprise for sure. they are taught from sunday school that Christ died for our sins and as long as we 'accept Christ into our heart and accept him as our lord and savior' then our sins are all forgiven. kind of like a free 'get out jail card'. how responsible is that?
did christ say that or make that deal? or did Paul when the one who wrote the book of Paul wrote from here say that you are not judged by your actions but by your intentions.
i don't know, don't know where to start with this - but guys, you really need to be sure and read the fine print, the Bible says one thing and the guys on Sunday preach one thing.
all in all - there is a Judgement Day that GOD is over and will judge all His creation, including Christ and Christ will need to seek forgiveness from GOD, the King of Day of Judgement

There are some people who think this way. I don't consider them true Christians in that they are prejudicial of others who aren't "like them" not recognizing that they are still human and prone to mistakes like everyone of us. A true Christian is one who expresses love to all people regardless of how they believe.

Human beings are too complicated to be perfect. Come as close as you can and be happy with that. If someone wants to give you instructions, tell them to clean up their own backyard. Robots can be perfect, however sometimes even they can develop problems.

No, not at all.
What many non Christians DO think, however, is that too many Christians act as though they are the only ones allowed to make mistakes. Maybe less preaching and more perfecting would help.
